Job description
Our customer is establishing a new facility to fulfill their internal manufacturing requirements. The location is a prestige location adjacent to the Schiphol International Airport. The facility is being equipped with the latest automation technologies. There is plenty of scope of entrepreneurial people to think outside the box and leave their mark on what both our customer & syncreon intend will become a world class, flagship site – a future centre of excellence & innovation.

Planning our inbound and outbound logistics
You’re determined to do the job right by putting your heart and soul into managing our inbound and outbound logistics; you’ll be responsible for collection, transportation and delivery, as well as for shipment confirmation, order status and proof of delivery. Your aim? Handling our Dock to Stock and Stock to Dock SLAs, while managing our customer’s backlog and document retention. You’ll be working closely with your Supervisor, Shift Manager, HR, and 5C Management.

Some of your duties include:

  • Checking documentation upon arrival of trucks and couriers and preparing documentation for departing trucks and couriers with Security;
  • Coordinating international shipment commercial invoicing and other requirements, including collections by 3rd party carriers (IDS);
  • Monitoring stock, order backlog and performance against KPIs and SLAs, including logging any misses, identifying RCs, and levels of consumables;
  • Communicating on a daily basis with security, 3rd party couriers and international freight forwarders, 3rd party warehouses, the customer, 3rd party vendors and procurement at our national head office;
  • Ensuring safe and secure yard operations by using our WMS software and cooperating with Security.

Requirements
The knowledge and skills we’re looking for:

  • Preferably a post-secondary education
  • Super communication skills in English for building strong relationships
  • Good working knowledge of WMS software (preferably with JDA/Red Prairie)
  • Experience with MS Office and online collaboration tools
  • Ability to handle customs documentation efficiently

Having a flexible working attitude is essential at syncreon: you’ll be working in shifts, including weekends and public holidays if required, and rotate roles with other operational & materials planners to provide mutual cover during absenteeism.
